Wilson loves to travel. He's not the -best- traveler, he likes to be in the front with us and whine as if it we were the meanest parents for strapping him into the backseat. The best part of traveling, for Wilson, is the delicious meals prepared for him upon his arrival. Mom likes to spoil him and Wilbur with their own bowls of soups, freshly cooked beef, and the occasional eggroll. These are not table scraps mind you, oh no. No sir. These are freshly prepared with only the naturalest of ingredients, served in their very own porcelain bowls or plates - no plastic or stainless steel. And they're always followed up with big meaty soaked and boiled beef joints. Marrow chunks for days.
This was his first Thanksgiving with us. And we let him know we were thankful for having him in our lives. Without him, my knee pits would be cold at night, and my lint roller would be underutilized. And he's always there protecting me from the eminent dangers that lurk just outside the tub when I shower. Without him, I might be sporting the life-alert necklaces. So, thank you Wils, thank you.
Here are some of my favorite pics from the Thanksgiving Holiday at Moms.
Mom and the Little Sis came to town to drop off some of mom's homemade eggrolls (only the best kind of eggrolls in the whole world) and I drove them around for some extra special shopping fun. And we went to my favorite restaurant, Hue and tried out the Lee's Sandwhich shop. Both turned out to be excellent choices.
With my sister's BigDay coming up, we were looking for accessories to help make her Tiffany Blue themed moment a reality. We couldn't find everything - she admitted she was asking for the impossible - but 15 gallons of gas later...we did find four pairs of shoes, my maid of honor dress, material for vietnamese dresses, and my mom got herself a jade bracelet and a bag of kumquats.
Yeah, I've had enough shopping for a while :-) ...
Nicholas, my sister and I drove downtown to catch the Parade of Lights and watch them light the Christmas tree in Sundance Square. We found out about it watching the evening news! We couldn't see much of the parade, but we got to watch the tree lighting from the deck at the Flying Saucer.
So it's been a busy busy last few... long times. In which I've been rained on. To the point where buildings disappear. And then magically reappear
Pretty cool trick huh? Vivi's turned into a photo celebrity while finding a new home on my new ottoman. The little guy's gotten bigger. He's put on some muscles. Muscles that require lots of food and produce lots of gas and apparently require lots of sleep... on my binders.
Nicholas was home and we did some sightseeins around the town. Met up with his family for a birthday celebration for his Aunt. There was also dinner with his Grandparents at what I will call the BEST Olive Garden in all of Texas. And then we caught up with the Oscar Mayer WeinerMobile but no one was home.
Congratulations are in order for my wonderful brother and his beautiful new fiance, Donna! They just stopped by this evening to share the good news!! Yaaaaa!
