I wrote this earlier in March. And through the grace that is Google... the picture of me popped up in a search someone did... and I was surprised with this :
And this, my friends, is how my God-Brother found me some 25 years later. Small world huh? Yup. I get to meet him and his family in a couple of weeks!! Yaaaa!

30 yrs ago I visited that camp at Eglin AFB FL
I met the first family that came to Mobile, ... , and their baby daughter. They came to live in an apartment at my house on Michigan Avenue.

We finally presented our video at work. Our precreation of a monthly video newsletter for the summer of 2050. The humiliation is over. Over. In theory, the video reels will now self-destruct and will never be seen again. Even in 2050.
The sky dropped rain in buckets on the way home and thus, I was able to enjoy my new Pirellis in the rain. Not just any rain. Rain with crazy people who can't drive in the rain kinda rain. Not that I particularly enjoy it, but I got to swerve around the Honday Odessy that decided to stop for no reason and stayed on the road. Good stuff, new tires, good stuff.
Oh, and for the first time ever, I knew somebody in a Daisy Dukes contest. And no, it wasn't me.
And finally, pictures from my cousins wedding are posted.

The day was gonna be a short one and so I wanted to take advantage of the proximity to the mall and the "high roller" gift certificate I got to the Sunglass Hut. After much arm twisting (haa haa), Miss Z and I hit up the mall on the quest for personality highlighting sunglasses. The Queen of all that is Purple found herself a nice pair of Oakleys.I want oakleys. But they never fit my face. They're either too small or way too odd looking. But in the event that they do some how miraculously fit me, and I hope they do, they come in an awesome-i really don't see myself wearing it everyday but if i had them i just might- sorta pink... I'd get these:
From ehow.com:
"Win the lottery and attend the historic F-1 race at Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco. No race speaks more to the essence of the sport, which is sophisticated, high-tech glamour rather than rough-and-tumble racing."Hmmm. Lottery Ticket. Check. Trip to Monaco. Check. Title list: Things To Do In the Very Near Future After I Make Gobs of Moola.

Should you come across some spare change... feel free to add this to your 'must get for Hieu's birthday' list. A $43,000 pod to get around in, because you know it would come in handy as I manuver through the obscenely crowded isles during a midnight Walmart run!

Of course, you could do the modern females of america some good and each of you take one to a shoe sale at Dillard's and get them something other than FlipFlops to wear!! You never know when they'll have to visit the WhiteHouse.
As is customary when these things happen...

It is always good to celebrate. Especially when it has to do with getting rid of excessive baggage and the acceptance of a new jobby job.
Thursday night was college night at the local Grahams. And, just like the good ole days with my good friend Seducious, there was much drinking, much dancing, and much aquisition of the good juju. Z and I had some crazy-a$$-&boobie fun. Then there was the Friday 3 hour sushi ordeal involving collars and the Where In the World Is The PostOffice Adventure.
Congrats to Z on her jobby job... and congrats to me for surviving my obligatory 2-weeks without getting kicked out of a bar, missing work, and/or visiting with peace officers (and EMS personnel). Good times.

Clutched to my momma's breast in a Florida refugee camp dehydrated and as bald as could be.
20 years ago:
Riding my bike in a Benbrook neighborhood, not watching for cars behind me, making sudden turns and scaring the crap out of myself as the cars - I should have been watching for - slam on their brakes to avoid having a 10 year old spashed on to their grill.
10 years ago:
Getting back from a 4 mile run with my Army Reserve Roomie and thinking about how best to avoid the "boyfriend".
5 years ago:
Working at the Froot Company. Probably miserable. Hiding under my desk. Or downloading the most obscene and useless pieces of desktop software I could find.
1 year ago:
Swimming laps at the gym next door to the hotel where I was living. Cursing the sunburn I got at the Autocross the day before, and wondering if I'll ever find me a hot guy who loves the cars I love as much as I do.
1 month ago:
At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway watching the qualifying runs with the hot guy who loves the cars I love as much as I do.
2 weeks ago:
Taking the post-work nap and/or counting down the minutes until the hot guy who loves the cars I love as much as I love them would call me and tell me how his day went.
1 week ago:
Had a horrific dream about M.S. crashing his car into a wall and dying in a ball of flame and just knowing I didn't want to talk to the "boyfriend".
Yesterday:
Driving back to Austin after an afternoon of shopping with mom and singing to a Beatles song with Vivi.
Today:
About to go for a nice long jog until the sun goes down, doing some much needed thinking.
Tomorrow:
Probably more jogging, dinner with a friend, and maybe a movie.

i'm sorry i've been neglecting you. it's been an ugly week. and i'm not a fan of uglies. right now, grandpapa and daddy are saying their last words to each other, and i'm sad i can't be there to say goodbye too.
and i'd like to add a very sarcastic thanks to those people i thought were my friends, because they are not. but there is a very generous thanks to those who are my friends who let me vent as the left over shreds of me gets squished in the Cuisinart(TM) yet again.
i'll be gone for a long while, my bloggie blog, i need some time off- an obligatory two weeks or so. do be a dear and keep the plants watered.

I finally got around to ordering a copy of the group panoramic from the 2004 SAE Competition, and it should be here next week! Photographer Mark Crabtree took the picture uses a rotating panoramic camera by Kodak from the 1930's.
I'm going to have to go out on the parking garage here at work and do a panoramic with my digital camera and tripod - just so I can have a picture of hills and trees to remember Austin by for my last 4 months in Buttocks. :-)

I never have my camera or my palm pilot at my fingertips when I see these things - and I bet if I had a camera phone it'd be elsewhere too. So last week driving to work I was cut off by a plain white truck with a sticker on the side that read: "Texas Department of Aggression and Rehabilitative Services". I let it go, because knowing my wordage issues I could have *thought* i saw it, or maybe someone wanted to ride around looking official all day. Well then this morning I saw another white non-descript truck speeding by me with the sticker that read: "Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services".
Texas can spend the money it has any way it wants. But if Texas is going to buy these non-descsript trucks with stickers for Agression, Rehabilitative, Aging, and Disability, they need to not be cutting me off on the road and speeding by me. That, or Angry old people need to be given these white trucks before they journey to the grocery stores on Saturday morning.

I found me an awesome place to finish out my summer. I'm staying at a co-worker's house that's quite a bit aways from where I was, but the drive is so worth haveing a/c and running water.
Then there was Effie's bachelorette party... and there was a dancer. Not like any other dancer that might come into your head when you think 'dancer at a bachelorette party. So I won't blind your imagination and leave it at that.
The Independence Weekend itself wasn't so bad. I was due for a free ticket to Annoyance Town, and it was delivered courtesy of the Alvarado Police Dept. Apparently, they got hooked on to the 'online wave' that everyone's getting into and had to find some way to pay that bill. Atleast Officer Hitler admitted that I was one of 15 cars going the same speed - I knew they couldn't all be donut gorging waterheads. I wished him a enjoyable weekend and he gave me a face like he let out a fart that he was paining to hold in.
The bro brought home a little friend for his little friend. Jackie's a cute half chihuahua half terrier piece of happiness! Nothing like being woken up with happy dog tounge at 7am. Bowski's the same old puppy that pees when he sees you. Gotta love that warm feeling.
The drive back was uneventful and the kitties were happy to see me - I brought Vivi home some of mama's rice soup. He loves that rice soup. And Little One. Little Tchaikovski. He's special. He needs his very own short bus. He eats like he hasn't seen food his whole life and he's not just curious about everything, he's curious about the same things - over and over and over again.
But that was my weekend. How was yours? The all seeing server knows you visit so drop a line, you online stalking wierdos. :-)
