Holiday Goodness
Holiday 2002 has been good to me. Not too much grief other than the stupidity of the repair people at Toyota. But I guess that comes with any new car. Bleech. I got pretty much all I wanted and what I needed this year. Although an iBook would be nice (wink, wink). Choomy got me the Clash of the Titans on DVD -- that totally kicked ass!! Foophers got me Vandy-butt-jamas -- again, totally kicking ass!! The Boy got me a warm blankie for the hideously cold Lubbock nights -- seriously kicking ass!! And a few other goodies.

Choomy's doing the New Years in New York and Foophers and I have been working out twice a day for the past week, getting rid of the winter padding. I was able to find most of my books for next semester, but I need to return them and get new books -- for good jujus. I also need see about heading down to Austin before I head up to Cold Stinky Place. *sigh*

stories of labor that make you curl up and hide under a blanket..
Just got off of the phone with my good friend who had recently given birth to a wonderful baby boy. I remember when the young master patrick was mere coffee talk.. good times. it is amazing how time flies by with things like this.. and how it stands still when one's in labor (or waiting for grades to post). my mom had told me many times the story of her labor with me.. as gruesome as it was being in the middle of a war, the hours of labor, the crying, etc, etc..

the story my friend told were weeks old.. and not 15 years old and so they were filled with great horrific details of the excruciating pain and suffering that made me curl up into a ball and hide under a blanket for a good part of the conversation. the most memorable lines? "the feeling of peeing inside out" and "in so much pain, i couldn't speak" *shiver*

so i want kids.. i do..i dunno if i wanna *have* kids. that's another issue.

the Stomach Ulcer subsides...
They haven't posted all of my grades yet, but I got 2 A's and 2 B's. Dad's not pleased, but I am. I worked hard for those little letters. Next semester is gonna have to be a 4.0. I celebrated with a caramel brownie at Starbucks and an Italian Soda... I must say Dr. R is the awesomest. Dr. L was my favoritest lecturer and I'm looking forward to next semester; so much so I've already bought my books to read over the break.

Thanksgiving break was fun. Dad came down and was daddy-like for a couple of days, I needed it. Turkeygoodness was very very good as usual, but the sleepyfactor wasn't. I only ended up with 2 finals. And it was in those 2 classes I made B's. Arg, next time I need to go for no finals.

I head back tomorrow to hookup with the parental units and get some more home cooking. Then it's off to see the little kitties and Grendlicious G Dawg. Everybody have a good one. Drive safe, don't drink and drive, and watch for deer!!
