I am yellow.

And other things about makeup I didn't know.

So, thanks to genetics... and watching my mom apply moisturing cream everyday and night, I still get carded regularly. Every since I was in my teens, I'd sneak a dab or two of mom's Oil of Olay and delicately dot my face and massage in, just as she did.

Since then, my war paint has simply consisted of Oil of Olay, awesome eyeshadow colors, black eyeliner, lenthening mascara, and an array of lipcolor.

It wasn't until one of my best friend's weddings that I was sold on MAC products. My best friend's best friend* swore by it - and given just how natural she looked, I had to try it out for myself.

Pet Portraits (II)

CJ sent the kitties earlier this week... and they arrived today!! How cute are these?! I love the colors and how Peanut looks just as clueless as he does in real life... and how Vivi looks like he's in your face!

Beach trip 2010

With summer being half over, we made our way out to Galveston to play in the water before the tarballs washed up. Last year, Wilson was too afraid of the water to get in. This year, with Colin being water-friendly, Wilson willingly waded into the salt water!

Dad used to take us every weekend when we were young. And here I went nearly half the summer without taking myself! Obviously my priorities are skewed. This must be remedied! The boys and I hope you all had a fun and eventful Independence Holiday!

Christmas Tinsel in July

Tinsel Nest

Left over holiday tinsel was thrown out at our apartment complex. One of neighboring birds recyled them into a nest just outside our front door. Nicholas captured this picture - he's getting pretty good with my camera :)

You are getting sleepy...

Nothing like a pile of pugs to make you want to stay on the couch and just read a book with a cup of tea :)

Only the best sandwhiches ever

Ever since I moved to Houston, I've heard stories of this awesome little sandwhich shop that has these sandwhiches that were less than $3, cash only, but like no other sandwhichs at any other place. Ooo, I thought. Well, a year later, I finally ventured out to go find this sandwhich shop and turns out... it's a chain! And Lee*s not only has the delicious vietnamese-style sandwhiches that I grew up with, but also all kind of other Vietnamese goodies!

Oh Lee, how I love your sandwiches!! Mmm nom nom!

Nick and I went recently to get our fix and noticed their new baggies! They print recylcing ideas on their bags! Genius! Way to go Lee*s!

Lee's Sandwiches is green! Awesome baggie ideas!
